Our partner selection process supports our commitment to quality, client satisfaction and controlled workflows under our ISO-based quality system, including ISO 9001, ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 for medical device translation workflows.
How to register as a partner
To apply, please complete our online partner registration form. Before starting, make sure you have electronic copies of your CV, qualifications, certificates and any other relevant professional documents ready.
Once we receive your application, we will evaluate your profile and may request additional information if needed. If your experience matches our current needs, we will add you to our active collaborator database.
If we cannot collaborate immediately, we will keep your profile in our database and may contact you when your experience better matches one of our preferred profiles or future project needs.

Registered partners can use the AbroadLink Partner Portal to manage their collaboration with us.
Through the portal, you can accept projects, manage assigned work, send invoices, check payments and keep your professional information up to date.
Partner profiles we are looking for
Translators/posteditors, editors, proofreaders and interpreters
We work with professional linguists who combine language expertise, subject-matter knowledge and a strong service mindset.
To apply as a translator, editor, proofreader or interpreter, you should meet the following criteria:
- Native speaker of the target language.
- Full-time freelance translator or interpreter.
- University degree in translation or interpreting, or a postgraduate qualification in translation or interpreting.
- Alternatively, another relevant professional qualification, such as medicine, science or law, combined with excellent knowledge of the source language and at least two years of full-time translation experience.
- Alternatively, at least five years of experience as a full-time professional translator.
- Working knowledge of and a licence for at least one translation memory tool, preferably Trados or memoQ. Preference is given to memoQ users.
- A maximum of 10 declared areas of specialization.
- Three professional references, including company name, contact person, email address and phone number.
- Team spirit, responsiveness and strong collaboration skills.
Note for translators. In our workflows, editing involves checking the translation against the source text. Proofreading refers to reviewing only the target-language text.
ISO 13485 medical translators/posteditors, editors and proofreaders
For medical device and life sciences projects, we apply additional selection criteria in line with our ISO 13485-certified processes.
Medical translators/posteditors, editors and proofreaders must meet the general criteria listed above and also comply with at least one of the following requirements:
- Hold a university degree in a life sciences field, such as medicine, biology, pharmacy or veterinary medicine.
- Hold a degree in translation plus a master's specialization in medical or life sciences translation.
- Have at least five years of proven professional experience in medical translation.
To support our ISO 13485 certification requirements, applicants must provide documented evidence for the qualifications and professional experience included in their CV. This may include university degrees, postgraduate certificates, client references, project experience, training records or other relevant documentation.
Multilingual DTP artists
We collaborate with multilingual DTP professionals who understand the technical and visual challenges of preparing translated documents for publication.
To apply as a multilingual DTP artist, you should meet the following criteria:
- Full-time freelance DTP artist.
- Two-year nationally certified qualification in DTP.
- At least three years of professional experience.
- Expert knowledge of multilingual font management.
- Expertise in one or more text, layout or graphic design tools for Windows or Mac.
- Experience with tools such as QuarkXPress, FrameMaker, PageMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator, FreeHand or equivalent applications.
- Three professional references, including company name, contact person, email address and phone number.
- Team spirit, responsiveness and strong collaboration skills.
Developers and localization experts
We also work with developers and localization experts who can support multilingual software, localization engineering and technical workflow requirements.
To apply as a developer or localization expert, you should meet the following criteria:
- Full-time developer or localization expert.
- University degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least three years of professional experience.
- Expertise in one or more programming environments and localization tools.
- Three professional references, including company name, contact person, email address and phone number.
- Team spirit, responsiveness and strong collaboration skills.
